Public Forum for Teen Center at Lynn
You’re Invited to the Public Forum:
Provide feedback for Lynn’s Newest Teen Center at Lynn English High School
Please join us to learn about the new teen center being planned for Lynn English High School (LEHS). This meeting is open to students, parents, LPS staff and all interested community members. Join us for:
- Introductory remarks by Interim Superintendent Deb Ruggiero and LEHS Principal, Dr. John Braga
- Presentation of the Teen Center model by LEAP for Education.
- Breakout sessions for needed feedback
LEAP for Education and the Lynn Public Schools are partnering to create an after-school teen program, scheduled to open on January 27, 2023, that will offer academic enrichment, social-emotional learning, and post-secondary and career exploration, including English literacy support for our English learners. LEAP advisors will also be available for all LEAP high school participants once they enroll in a college or other post-secondary institution through to graduation.
The goal of this public forum is to provide the LEHS Planning Team with feedback and ideas to ensure the successful launch of a high-quality, inclusive teen program at LEHS that meets the needs of the community.
WHY IS A NEW TEEN CENTER NEEDED: Lynn is home to exceptional teens with many skills and talents but many lack access to the opportunities to pursue the future they want. LEAP and LPS aim to continue to close this opportunity gap with free, flexible, and comprehensive programming for teens.
Join us! Your voice, feedback and support are needed.
Monday, December 5 at Lynn English High School starting at 6:00 PM.
We look forward to seeing you and hearing your ideas! Questions? Contact Avre Vickers, avickers@leap4ed.org
