    The College Success Program provides you with complete college preparatory services as well as regular mentorship all the way through post-secondary graduation.

    Early College

    Grades 9-12

    Through the Charlotte Forten Early College Program, Salem High School juniors and seniors can earn up to12 free college credits for four courses that also count towards high school credits. LEAP provides school-day support to enrolled students.

    Directions

    Directions to LEAP in Shetland Park

    Once you pass the gatehouse (you do not need to stop), #35 is the tallest building to your left as you enter. There are 2-hour free parking spaces to the right of the building. (Parking is also free along Congress Street.) Once parked, proceed to the front of #35, up the handicap ramp, and the offices are the first door on your right once you enter.

    Public Transportation

    Commuter rail service to downtown Salem from North Station in Boston. MBTA train service to Wonderland (Blue Line) where you can take a bus to downtown Salem.

    From the Salem Commuter Rail Station, climb the stairs to Washington Street. Walk down Washington St. and take a left at the fountain at the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall. Follow the pedestrian mall to the end (past the Peabody Essex Museum) and take a right onto Hawthorne Boulevard. Cross Derby St. at the lights and continue straight onto Congress St. (.7 miles, about 15 minute walk).

    Follow Route 114 to Salem MA. On Norman St. (downtown) take a left. Passing the Post Office on your right, go through the first set of lights and onto Derby St. Follow Derby St. to the second set of lights and take a right onto Congress St.

    From the Airport

    Follow 1A North to Salem (in Lynn, Lewis St. and in Salem Loring Avenue) and then take a left on Lafayette St. at Salem State University. Follow Lafayette St. until Peabody St. (Wendy’s on corner) and take a right on Peabody St. which dead ends at Congress St. 35 Congress St. is across the street.

    There are many shortcuts rather than the long, slow 1A – this is when Google Maps or your GPS should be used.
